INDIKATOR – The explosion of firecrackers that occurred at Sudarman’s house in Sadeng, Karangbendo, Ponggok District, Blitar Regency, Sunday (20/2/2023) night resulted Sudarman’s house being destroyed to the ground, Monday (20/02/2023).
The Palang Merah Indonesia (PMI) of Blitar Regency, through its official statement, stated that when they received information from local village officials via the PMI Command Post call center, the PMI Post Team immediately departed at 22:00 WIB to the location.
Muhammad Ashari Fajar Nugroho, staff of PB PMI Blitar Regency, admitted that one victim was found while the owner of the house and one other were dead, and three others were still buried under the rubble.
“Results of the report from PMI volunteers in Blitar District Khotam Denis, the victim buried under the rubble was already dead because officers found several pieces of the body assisted by village officials and local residents,” he explained.
Meanwhile, there were six injured victims recorded at the joint team post consisting of members of the Police, TNI and BPBD Blitar Regency.
As a result of this explosion, it was reported that 25 houses were damaged as a result of the explosion and Monday (20/02), at 12:03 WIB the PMI Volunteer Team for Blitar Regency evacuated 7 pieces of the victim’s body to the Srengat Hospital.
